About this test
Brand we're currently stocking: OneStep
MDMA is a psychoactive drug best known for its euphoric and stimulant effects. Also known as ecstasy, it can increase energy, alertness, emotional openness, and sensory perception, which is why it is often linked with nightlife and party settings. It can also raise body temperature and heart rate, so use may carry health and safety risks.
This MDMA urine drug test is designed to screen for MDMA in urine using a cut-off level of 500ng/mL. This means the test is set to show a positive result when MDMA is detected at or above that threshold in the sample.
It is a qualitative screening test, so it gives a positive or negative reading rather than a measured concentration. A positive result means MDMA was detected and may need lab confirmation if the result will be used for workplace, legal, safeguarding, or formal decision-making.
This type of urine strip has a reported 99% accuracy. MDMA can typically be detected in urine for around 3 to 5 days after use, though this can vary based on the amount taken, frequency of use, fluid intake, metabolism, and the timing of the sample.
The test is best used when you need a fast first-stage screen, with simple visual interpretation and no lab processing required for the initial result
What this test offers
How to use this test
Open the foil pouch and remove the test strip. Only break the seal when you’re ready to begin the test.
Using a clean sample pot, gather a urine sample from the person being tested.
To maintain accuracy, ensure that the sample is fresh and recently gathered.
Carefully dip the testing panel into the urine sample, ensuring the urine does not exceed the indicated maximum line.
Ensure the test absorbs the sample for around 10-15 seconds. Remove the test and place it on a level, sanitised surface to let the results develop.
A pink-coloured line should appear on the strip at the control band (C), indicating the test is working properly.
If no line appears in the control band, the test is invalid and should be repeated.
All results should be read within 10 minutes to avoid false readings.
Negative results can be read as soon as they appear.
If two lines appear, one at the control band (C) and one at the test band (T), this indicates a negative result for the drug being tested.
Positive results must be read at least 5 minutes after removing the test from the urine sample.
If only one pink line appears at the control band (C) and no line appears at the test band (T), this indicates a positive result for the drug being tested.
