How to use this test
Identify the day you should begin testing based on your cycle.
Do not use first morning urine. LH is synthesised in the morning and will not show up until later. The best time to collect your urine is between 10am and 8pm.
Reduce liquid intake about 2 hours before collecting your urine.
Read the instructions thoroughly before you begin.
Do not open the foil pouch until you are ready to test.
Ensure you have a watch, clock, or timer ready.
Allow urine samples and the test kit to reach room temperature (approximately 20 minutes) before testing.
Collect the urine sample in a clean, dry container.
Make sure to collect the sample at about the same time each day to maintain consistency. This will help ensure the accuracy of your test results.
Open the sealed pouch and remove the strip.
With the arrows pointing downwards towards the urine, place the test strip vertically into the urine sample for at least 10 seconds.
Do not allow the urine to go above the MARK level line.
Remove the strip from the urine and place it on a clean, dry surface.
Wait for coloured bands to appear.
Depending on the concentration of LH in the urine specimen, positive results may be observed within 1 minute.
However, to confirm negative results, wait the full reaction time of 10 minutes.
Results obtained after 30 minutes may be considered invalid.
Compare the colour intensity of the test band to the control band.
A positive result for LH surge is indicated if the test band is of equal or greater intensity than the control band. This suggests ovulation will occur within the next 24-36 hours.
A negative result means the test band is less intense than the control band or not visible.
An invalid result occurs if no control band appears within 5 minutes.
