About this test

Brand we're currently stocking: OneStep

Our Stomach Health H. pylori Rapid Test offers a quick and reliable way to check for Helicobacter pylori — a common bacterial infection linked to ulcers, gastritis, and long-term digestive issues.

H. pylori is a spiral-shaped bacterium that lives in the stomach lining and can cause chronic inflammation. It’s a key contributor to symptoms like abdominal pain, bloating, indigestion, and in some cases, more serious conditions.

People infected with H. pylori have a 3–6 times higher risk of developing gastric cancer compared to those who are not infected. Eradicating H. pylori has been shown to reduce the risk of stomach cancer by 30–50%, making early detection an important step toward better long-term health.

This at-home test uses advanced immunoassay technology to detect H. pylori antigens in stool samples, delivering accurate results in just 10 minutes. No need for lab appointments or waiting weeks for answers, just clear answers from the comfort of your home.

Whether you're experiencing symptoms or simply want peace of mind, this test gives you a clear snapshot of your digestive health — all from the privacy of home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this test recommended for?

This test is recommended for anyone experiencing symptoms of stomach discomfort, such as ongoing indigestion, bloating, or abdominal pain, which may suggest an H. pylori infection.

It’s also suitable for those who want to check for infection, or for individuals with a family history of ulcers.

Do I need to send my sample to a lab?

No, this private test is designed for at-home use and provides quick results without the need to send your sample to a lab.

Once you follow the instructions and complete the test, you’ll have results within minutes, making it both convenient and confidential.

How accurate are the results of this test?

This H. Pylori test is highly reliable for at-home screening, providing an accurate indication of whether the bacteria is present in your system. When you carry out the test procedure correctly, this kit has an accuracy of 98.6%.

However, like any screening tool, it is not 100% definitive. If your results show the presence of H. Pylori, it’s recommended that you confirm the results with a second test, and consult a healthcare provider to understand your situation.

What is H. pylori, and why should I test for it?

H. pylori (Helicobacter pylori) is a common type of bacteria that infects the lining of the stomach. It can often go unnoticed, but over time, it may lead to chronic inflammation (gastritis). This, in turn, can develop into stomach ulcers. It can also exponentially increase the risk of stomach cancer.

Early detection is beneficial because H. pylori infections are generally treatable with antibiotics, and addressing the infection promptly can prevent it from causing further complications, including more severe stomach or digestive issues.

What symptoms might indicate an H. pylori infection?

Symptoms of an H. pylori infection can vary, but common signs include a dull or burning abdominal pain, especially when your stomach is empty, along with bloating, frequent burping, nausea, and an uncomfortable feeling of fullness even after small meals. You may also experience a loss of appetite, unexplained weight loss, or in some cases, heartburn and indigestion.

These symptoms can persist over time or flare up intermittently. If you’ve had ongoing discomfort or symptoms like these, an H. pylori test can help determine if this bacteria may be the cause.

Does a positive result mean I have a stomach ulcer?

A positive result indicates an H. pylori infection, but it does not necessarily mean you have an ulcer. H. pylori is a common cause of ulcers, but only a healthcare provider can confirm an ulcer through additional diagnostic tests, such as an endoscopy.

Can I use this test to check if my H. pylori treatment was effective?

Yes, this test can be used to check for H. pylori after treatment.

However, it’s recommended to wait at least four weeks after completing any treatment for the infection. This allows the stomach lining to recover and ensures accurate results. Always consult with your healthcare provider for confirmation.

Can medications or recent meals affect the test results?

Yes, certain medications, especially antibiotics or proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), can impact the accuracy of this H. pylori test by temporarily reducing bacteria levels, potentially leading to a false-negative result.

For the most reliable results, it’s recommended to avoid antibiotics, PPIs, and antacids for at least two weeks before testing. While a recent heavy meal is unlikely to directly affect accuracy, it may cause discomfort or influence sample quality.

How often should I test for H. pylori if I have recurring symptoms?

If symptoms persist, consider testing annually or when symptoms flare up. It’s also advisable to consult with your doctor to determine the best testing frequency based on your health history and symptoms.

Is this test painful?

No, this test is not painful, as it only requires a small stool sample for analysis. There’s no need for needles or invasive procedures, making it a completely non-invasive and comfortable testing option. Most users find it straightforward and easy to complete at home.
