About this test
Brand we're currently stocking: PRIMA
Allergies can often go undiagnosed, with symptoms like sneezing, skin irritation, watery eyes or congestion dismissed as everyday discomfort. This test checks for elevated levels of Immunoglobulin E (IgE) — a key marker your body produces in response to allergens.
Using a simple finger-prick blood sample, this rapid test helps you understand whether your immune system may be reacting to allergens. While it doesn’t identify specific triggers, it can highlight the need for further testing or specialist advice.
Whether you’re managing seasonal allergies, food sensitivities or unexplained symptoms, this easy-to-use kit gives you quick results from the privacy of home. If your IgE levels are high, it could suggest your symptoms are allergy-related, helping you take the next step towards diagnosis and treatment.
An ideal first step for anyone looking to better understand their immune response and take control of their allergy health.

How to use this test
Before starting the test, bring the pouch with the test cassette to room temperature. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water, then dry them completely. Now, open the pouch and take out the test cassette.
Twist and remove the plastic cap from the sterile lancet - be careful not to fire it too soon! For best results use your middle finger for taking the sample. Clean your fingertip with the cleansing gauze and let it air dry.
Press the lancet firmly against your fingertip to draw a drop of blood. Gently massage your finger downward to encourage blood flow.
Now, take the capillary pipette and let it automatically absorb the blood- no need to squeeze. Fill it to the black line, avoiding air bubbles.
Squeeze the pipette bulb to release the blood sample into the ‘S’ on the test cassette. Wait for the blood sample to be fully absorbed into the cassette before moving on to the next step.
Open the diluent vial with the dropper and carefully add 2 drops into the ‘S’. Now, wait 5 minutes for the test to process- don’t read the results before then! Make sure you have waited exactly 5 minutes as waiting longer may invalidate your results.
If no line appears at ‘C’ even if there is a line at ‘T’ you have not performed the test correctly. Please repeat the test ensuring you follow all instructions carefully.
If two lines appear—one at C (Control) and one at T (Test). This indicates higher-than-normal IgE levels, suggesting your immune system may be reacting to allergens. Consider consulting a specialist for further evaluation.
If a single line appears at C (Control), with no line at T (Test). This means your IgE levels are within the normal range (below 100 IU/mL), making an allergic reaction unlikely based on this test.
